KVK, Malyal organized Training Programme on “Integrated Crop Management in Cucurbits

A farmers training programme on “Integrated Crop Management in Cucurbits” was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal at Bheemla thanda of Bojjannapeta Village, Narsimhulapeta Mandal, Mahabubabad district on 03-02-2021. The Programme sponsored by ATMA, Department of Agriculture, Mahabubabad district, was chaired by the Village Sarpanch Smt. P. Rajitha. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about the Integrated Crop Management in Cucurbits. He stressed about the importance of spraying micronutrients especially boron, growth hormones at different stages to enhance number of female flowers on the vine. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal addressed the gathering, gave tips for crop management in Yasangi Rice under present situation and pin worm management in Tomato. Sri Suryanarayana, DHSO, Mahabubabad district explained about importance of FPOs for farmers’ empowerment and asked the villagers to form one. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) requested the farmers to take use of various agricultural mobile apps like AKPS to get first hand information on different aspects of agriculture. The programme was followed by a visit to Cucurbit crop with pandal system and Chilli mulching fields in the Village. 45 no.of farmers attended the training programme.
