Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem organized “Kisan Diwas” and awareness programme on “Natural Farming” to farmers at KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem on 23.12.2022. In this awareness programme Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem, discussed regarding soil degradation due to excessive usage of fertilizers and chemicals and explained about importance of natural farming. Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) explained about different method involves mulching, intercropping, and the preparation procedures and use of several products which include cow dung. Dr. R. Vishwatej, SMS (Agri. Extn) detailed the importance of formation of FPO and certification of organic products. Sri K. Abhimanyudu, DAO, Bhadradri Kothagudem explained the methods to be followed in natural farming and organic farming and highlighted the importance of soil fertility management. Sri J. Mariyanna, DHSO, Bhadradri kothagudem detailed the package of practices in oil palm cultivation Sri. Madhav Rao, Raytu bandhu samanvaya state member explained about the importance of natural farming.
