KVK, Malyal organized National Girl Child Day on 24-01-2022

Awareness camp on “National Girl Child Day” was organized by KVK, Malyal at Ramachandrapuram Anganwadi Centre, Mahabubabad on 24-01-202. In this programme, Smt. D. Usha Sri, SMS (Agromet), Sri M. Chitti Babu, Agromet Observer and Smt. M. Yalamanchamma, Anganwadi Teacher, 26 women have participated. On this occasion, Smt. D. Usha Sri, SMS (Agromet) spoke about reason behind celebrating the National Girl Child Day, rights of girl child, their education, health and nutrition. She explained about gender based inequality and invisible discrimination, female foeticide and she reiterated that each girl should be taught ways and means to tackle issues raising out of these social evils. Every girl child has right to be treated equally on this land and hence parents should raise their kids by making them of conscious of these aspects. Government programmes, schemes different aspects of girl child development were also explained to the participants
