KVK, Malyal organized orientation programme to School Children on “Opportunities in Agriculture Sector” under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav on 26-11-2021

As a part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal has organized campaign on the theme of Agriculture and Environment: The citizen face on 26th November 2021, to school children. Under this, an orientation programme on “Opportunities in Agriculture Sector for entrepreneurship and employment” was conducted to school children of Eklavya Model Residential School, Kuravi. Smt. D. Usha Sri, SMS (Agrometeorology) has explained about all agriculture based opportunities and different vocational and polytechnic courses offered in agriculture and allied sectors. She reiterated that, student should also develop interest in such curricula rather than regular streams. She also highlighted the importance of introduction of the concept of kitchen gardening, terrace gardening and gardening in regular extracurricular activities of the children. In this programme, Smt. B. Punyavathi, Principal and 11 Teachers, 320 students from 10th to intermediate have participated.
