RAWEP students of Agricultural College, Warangal allotted to KVK, Malyal organized a Rythusadassu and Agricultural exhibition at Kalwala village of Kesamudram Mandal, Mahabubabad district on 18-11-2024. Dr. M. Balram, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Warangal acted as the chief guest of the programme. Sri G. Sanjeeva Reddy, AMC Chairman, Kesamudram inaugurated the exhibition stalls prepared by RAWEP students on “Direct seeding Paddy, IPM in Chilli, HDPS Cotton, Integrated farming system, mulching, micro irrigation, Shade net, Poly house, Hydro phonics, etc”. The guests keenly listened to the explanation given on different exhibits and their importance by the students. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension), explained work carried by RAWEP students in the village and RAWEP programme objectives. Later, the students shared their RAWEP experiences and host farmers expressed their views on the programme. Sri B. Venkanna, MAO, Kesamudram, expressed that; students should utilize this RAWEP programme for the knowledge improvement and to know the latest agriculture and allied sector developments in field level. Dr. E. Rambabu SMS (Horticulture), explained about IPM practices to be followed by farmers in Chilli and Turmeric crops in present situation. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal, addressed the gathering and remarked that with RAWEP students get a chance to acquaint themselves with ground situation in agriculture and allied sectors and village farmers to know about get latest agriculture technologies through RAWEP students with consult with University Scientist. Dr. Balram, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Warangal congratulated the students for their effort on successful conduct of Rythusadassu and Agricultural exhibition at Kalwala village. All the villagers should make use of the programme effectively by involving the students and students should identify specific problem of respective village and try to give solution to that problem. Sri G. Sanjeeva Reddy, AMC Chairman, Kesamudram appreciated different models exhibited by the RAWEP students and are is a unique opportunity for students to stay in rural areas and learn about farmer situation. KVK, Malyal scientists – Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, Dr. E. Rambabu & Sri B. Kranthi Kumar, Dr. G. Santhosh, Assistant Professor (Agronomy) and Dr. G. Swathi (Agriculture Extension) from Agricultural College, Warangal and 115 farmers visited the stalls and attended the Sadassu from different villages of the district.
