KVK, Malyal – Organized 4 days Skill Training Programme on “Tailoring & Embroidery” under SC SP, 2022-23, from 26th February to 1st March, 2023

KVK, Malyal organized 4 days Skill Training Programme on “Tailoring & Embroidery” from 26th February to 1st March, 2023 at Rythuvedika, Kantaipalem under SC SP project, 2022-23. The training started with inaugural session on 26-02-2023 and Dr. N.Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) & Co-PI of SC SP explained about the objectives of the programme, He informed the trainees, that Tailoring and Embroidery can be taken up for self employment. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, asserted that women is the key to sustainable development and quality of life in their family. She also explained importance of self employment of women for economic empowerment. Smt. M. Rajitha, Tutor, RM Tailoring and Matching Centre, Kantaipalem, acted as resource person for the training. She has taken theory and practical sessions on 26th, 27th February and 1st March, 2023, In this sessions she taught basic tips in Tailoring and Embroildery, work design and techniques of blouse cutting and stitching, dress stitching and frocks for kids were also explained. On 28th Feb, 2023 women were taken on exposure visit to SS ladies corner Tailoring and Embroidery Maggam work center, Kesamudram, Mahabuababd district where Smt.G. Madhavi Reddy explained about Hand Maggam, Rolling Maggam, and Computer Maggam work printing. In the valedictory session, 'participation certificates' were distributed to the trainees .Sri A. Kumar Yadav, MAO, Thorrur Sri N. Venkataih, CC, DRDA, Thorrur, Smt K. Amani, AEO, Kantaipalem cluster, and 30 no. of SC women trainees from Kantaipalem village attended the training.
