KVK, Malyal Organized Training Programme on “HDPS Cotton” under ICAR-CICR Special Project under NFSM 2023 at Mahabubabad Mandal on 05.03.2024

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized training programme on “HDPS Cotton” under special project on Cotton, ICAR-CICR titled “Targeting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity” under NFSM2023 at Singaram village of Mahabubabad Mandal on 05.03.24. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about, ICAR-CICR Special Project on cotton Project objectives & importance of HDPS Cotton in the district. Sri J.Sai Kiran, YP-II, explained about HDPS Cotton area spread in the district and Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal explained, time of sowing, weed & fertilizer management, time and dose of application of growth regulator, need of HDPS Cotton in our area, machine sowing through pneumatic planter and advantages with the pneumatic planter. Later clarified the farmer’s doubts on present yasangi crops Pest and diseases management. In this programme Sri. Murali, DRM & sri M. Yakanna, SO, Nuziveedu seed pvt limited participated and136 farmers from different cluster villages from Singaram, Islavath Thanda, Venkatram thanda, Bichya Thanda and Narsimhula gudem villages of Mahabubabad Mandal participated. Later cotton booklets on cotton plant protection were distributed to the farmers.
