KVK, Malyal – Organized Training Programme on “HDPS Cotton” under ICAR-CICR Special Project under NFSM 2023 at Aleru village of Nellikudur Mandal on 13.10.23

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized training programme on “HDPS Cotton” under special project on Cotton, ICAR-CICR titled “Targeting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity” under NFSM 2023 at Aleru village of Nellikudur Mandal dated 13.10.23. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about, ICAR-CICR Special Project under NFSM 2023, Project objectives & spread over in the district. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal explained selection of varities for HDPS cotton, sowing time, fertilizer management, time and dose of application of growth regulator, importance of high density Cotton and major advantages with HDPS Cotton later explained about IPM Practices to be followed by Cotton farmers for Pink boll worm management & need of HDPS Cotton in our district, machine sowing through pneumatic planter and advantages with the pneumatic planter. Sri Dr.E.Rambabau SMS (Horticulture) explained management practices in different horticulture crops in district. Sri. J. Laxmi Narayana, DAOi/c Mahabubabad, explained about Crop coverage and present situation of different crops in the district. In this programme Sri. S. Ravinder Reddy, AO, Nellikudur, and Sri. B. Sharanya, AEO, Aleru cluster and 128 farmers from different villages from Nellikudur Mandal participated.
