Krishi Vigyan Kendra – Malyal organized Training programme on Kharif crops and distribution of Paddy seeds under TSP, 2024-25 on 03-07-2024

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Training programme on “Better management practices in Kharif crops” to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub Plan project, 2024-25 at KVK, Malyal on 03-07-2024. Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about varietal character Paddy (WGL-962) and requested participants to multiply the seed and use for next two to three without purchasing new seeds. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal explained the importance of seed treatment in Paddy and explained in detail about direct seeding and drum seeding technology in Paddy. She requested participants to take up seed production of Paddy and Sunhemp crops to supply good quality seeds to the neighboring farmers as well as for getting good net returns. Later, distributed 50 number of Paddy (WGL-962) bags to the tribal farmer beneficiaries under Tribal Sub Plan, 2024-25. A total 50 no. of farmers and farmwomen from Eshwaragudem village of Kothaguda Mandal participated in the programme.
