Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about good management practices in Oil Palm which includes fertilizer, micronutrients and water management, intercrops to be grown as well as measures to be taken for growing inter crops, important pest & disease management. Later, he answered the queries raised by the farmers in the present standing crops like, Oil Palm and Chilli. Smt A. J. Shanthi Priya Darshini, H. O, Thorrur, explained government subsidy pattern for the Oil Palm crop including drip irrigation, need for increasing area of Oil Palm crop. Sri Ch. Ramulu, District Incharge explained about facilities created for the collection of harvested Oil palm bunches at different places and he also explained about cares to be taken for harvesting of bunches before marketing to the collection centers. Sri J. Venkat, FA, Thorrur, Sri K. Punnam Chander, FA, Maripeda, Sri J. Akhil, FO, Bayyaram, Sri Y. Anil, FO, Narsimhulapeta from TG Oilfed and 32 Oil palm growing farmers participated in the programme.
