Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Farmers Training Programme on “Pest & disease management in Cotton on 09-09-2021

Farmers Training Programme on “Pest & disease management in Cotton” was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal at Sriramagiri Village of Nellikudur Mandal on 09-09-2021. Smt. A. Ramulamma, SMS (Plant Protection) explained about pest & disease management in Cotton, focused on pink boll worm management, wilt management in Cotton. Sri Ravindar Reddy, MAO, Nellikudur explained about current problems in crops and explained about department schemes like crop booking and raithu bheema, etc. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal, addressed the gathering and insisted about measures to be taken in prevailing weather conditions in crops like Paddy, Cotton and Chilli and answered the queries raised by the farmers. Later, visited Cotton, direct seeded Paddy and HDPS Cotton fields in the village. Smt. Donikini Jyothi Srinivasulu, Sarpanch, Sriramagiri Village and Smt. Sharanya, AEO, Nellikudur and 32 No.of farmers participated in the programme.
