KVK, Malyal organized 4 days Skill Training on “Poultry Farming” under ARYA, 2021-22 from 27th to 30th March,2022

KVK, Malyal organized 4 days Skill Training on “Poultry Farming” from 27th to 30th March, 2022 at KVK, Malyal under ARYA Project, 2021-22 to the rural youth. The training started with inaugural session on 27-03-2022. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension), KVK, Malyal explained about need and importance of the programme. Dr. T. Sanjay, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Rajeshwarapuram, Khammam participated as resource person and delivered lectures on “disease management in Poultry farming and importance of backyard poultry nutritional status”. On 2nd day (28-03-2022) organized exposure visit to Livestock Research Station, Mamnoor, Warangal district. Dr. P. Amareshwari, Senior Scientist & Head acted as Resource Person and explained about “Rearing of one day old chicks, Hatchery unit, different poultry breeds like raja sri, vanaraja, Gramapriya, kadakhnath birds etc. and poultry demonstration units maintained in the station and in the afternoon session, gave a lecture on “management of backyard poultry” in rural areas. On 3rd day (29-03-2022), Dr. B. Ramchander, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Kuravi, Mahabubabad delivered lecture on “Different types of poultry raising methods & feeding techniques” and “nutional importance of poultry”. On 4th day (30-03-2022), Dr. B.Rakesh Reddy, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Mahabubabad delivered lecture on “success stories of farmers in poultry farming” in forenoon session and Sri B. Yakub Reddy, Commercial Poultry Farmer, Ameenapuram, Kesamudram Mandal participated as resource person on the topic “Importance of Poultry Farming in Integrated Farming System and economic importance of Poultry”. In the valedictory session, Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal addressed the gathering on importance of growing Back yard Poultry in the present days and the trainee participants should utilize the opportunity for entrepreneurship and take inspiration of successfull enterprises in the district. Later, feedback was taken from participants and distributed Certificates to the participants. 35 no. of rural youth participated in the programme.
