KVK, Palem conducted Awareness programme on “Promotion of use of alternative fertilizers in place of DAP” at Jadcharla, Mahabubnagar District on 17.12.2024.

Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem created awareness about alternate sources of fertilisers in place of DAP in Yasangi crops like paddy, maize and groundnut. Suggested nutrient rich organic manures, liquid fertilizers and Nano DAP as an alternate to DAP. Briefed about customized and fortified fertilizers suitable for drip fertigation in horticultural crops. Created awareness about phosphorous solubilising bacteria for increasing availability native soil phosphorous which will reduce the usage of DAP. In this programme Stayanarayana, DM, Ramesh, RM, SPIC, Fertilizer license dealers, SPIC staff and department staff (MAOs) a total of 84 members were participated.
