KVK, Palem organized awareness program on Efficient and balanced use of fertilizers on 21.06.2022

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Palem organized an awareness program under the National campaign on the Efficient and balanced use of fertilizers on 21.06.2022 at Yellikal village of Kalwakurthy mandal. In this program, Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, PC, KVK, Palem presented the importance of balanced use of fertilizers without degrading soil fertility status. Briefed about the soil sample collection methods, processing, testing, and interpretation of soil samples results, urged all the farmers to use the fertilizers based on soil health card report instead of indiscriminate usage. Inadequate and imbalanced nutrient use and neglect of organic manures have caused multi-nutrient deficiencies in Telangana soils. The management of soil fertility will be more crucial to supply adequate nutrients for the targeted levels of yields in the crops. Balanced usage of organic manures+ chemical fertilizers will help the farmers to get assured yields. Mr.M. Rajashekhar (SMS-PP) & Mr.K. Ramakrihna (SMS-CP) spoke about the HDPS-Cotton and best management practices in vaanakalam crops. Organized international yoga day theme for this year is 'Yoga for Humanity'. In this program Smt. Sreelatha (MAO-Kalwakurthy), Rajinikanth (AEO-Yellikal), Balaswamy (Sarpanch), Vijay Goud (RSS-Member) a total of 76 farmers have participated.
