KVK, Palem organized training programme on crop diversification & Preparedness for Yasangi crops on 25-09-2021

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Palem along with Department of Agriculture, NGKL and Regional fodder station, Hyderabad organized a training programme on crop diversification & Preparedness for Yasangi crops on 25.09.2021 at Rythuvedika Vennacherla village, Nagarkurnool dist. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, PC, KVK, Palem presented importance of crop diversification and also stressed more alternate crops to Paddy like Greengram, Blackgram, Castor & Groundnut. To encourage the farmers to for cultivate the oil seeds and pulses by conducting large scale demonstrations. Dr. B. Singh, Director explained about importance of fodder seeds to enhance milk production and meat production. Mr.B.Rajashekar, SMS, (Agricultural Extension) explained about the various information sources to get timely information through AKPS, Innovative farmers network, whatsapp groups, bulletins, leaflets, information centre of KVK, Palem, press notes and new technologies demonstrations etc. Mr. K. Ramakrishna, SMS (Crop Production) presented importance of cost reduction technologies in oil seeds and pulses. In this programme Ramakrishna, Director, Swami Vivekananda welfare association, Ramesh, AEO, innovative farmers, gram sarpanch, RSS members and 86 members of the farmers were participated.Training program and awareness created on crop diversification in yasangi and INM in Bhendi crop was organized at Balanpally(V), Tadoor(M), Nagarkurnool(D) on 25.09.2021. Dr. A. Shankar, SMS(Hort.) Created awareness on Horticulture crops in Rani and scope for Oilpalm cultivation. Sri. V. Prakash, AO sensitised farmers to cultivate groundnut and pulses. Sri K. Ramakrishna, SMS( Agro) explained production technology of Groundnut, Sesame, Green gram and Black gram and crop residue management for kharif crops to enhance soil organic matter. In this programme cluster Aeo Dilip, MPP smt. Sridevi Parameshwar reddy and 30 farmers were participated.KVK, Palem department of Agriculture Nagarkurnool district organized training cum awareness program on crop diversification at Yellikal village of Kakwakurthy mandal on 25.09.2021. In this program Venkateshwarlu ( DAO, NGKL) briefed about the alternate crops to Paddy. Stressed more on cultivation of market driven crops to get assured market prices. Mr. M. Rajashekhar (SMS-PP) spoke about the best management practices of Blackgram, Groundnut, Greengram, and Castor. Recommend integrated pest management practices in field & horticultural crops. In this meeting Sreelatha (MAO, Kakwakurthy), AEO, Yellikal sarpanch, MPTC and a total of 41 farmers were participated.
