Awareness cum demonstration of Drum Seeder Technology in paddy conducted by KVK, Palem at KVK Premises on 06.12.2022. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem briefed about the importance of Direct Seeded Rice with drum seeder Technology. Dr. M.Parimal Kumar, Scientist (Agronomy), RARS, Palem briefed about method of sowing, weed and fertilizer management in drum seeder technology. DAO representative Sri.K.Naresh briefed about the selected villages and guidelines of this drum seeding pilot project. Dr.K.Ramakrishna, SMS (Crop Production) explained about cost of cultivation, drudgery and water management practices under drum seeder technology. Mr .Steven and Mr .Andrew, Research Scholars briefed about pros and cons of drum seeding technology. Miss.B.Prerana, Sri.Srinivas and Mr.Jaswanth Naidu briefed about the guidelines of the pilot project on drum seeding. A total of 40 AEOs, 20 AOs, 20 Sarpanches & Village secretaries were participated. Later 160 drum seeder distributed to the 40 selected village representatives.
