KVK, Palem Scientists participated in Field Day on promotion of Maize hybrids through FLDs at Khanapur village, Nagarkurnool on 14.02.2025

Dr T Prabhakar reddy PC KVK Palem has participated in field day on promotion high yielding maize hybrid DHM -117 at Khanapur village of Bijinepally mandal, Nagarkurnool on 14.02.2025. Explained about the selection of high yielding hybrids in maize and best management practices in maize for higher yields. Later Conducted a crop cutting experiment and showcased the yield attributes of maize. Dr.M.Sujatha, Principle Scientist & Head, Maize Research Station, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad Brifed about the important maize hybrids developed in the university for the benefit of farmers. In this programme Dr.M.Sujatha, Principle Scientist & Head, Dr.Mallaiah, Senior scientist (Plant Pathology), Dr.S.Vanisree, Scientist (Entomology), Dr.Y.Samatha Parameswari, Scientist (Agronomy), MRS, Rajendranagar and Dr.B.Rajashekhar, SMS (Extension ), KVK, Palem, progressive farmers, AEO and a total of 84 farmers were participated.
