KVK, Palem Diagnostic field visit to Chilli crop in Rain affected areas of Nagarkurnool District on 13.10.2022

KVK and RARS, Palem scientists along with Horticulture Department officials conducted joint Diagnostic field visit to Chilli crop in Rain affected areas of Nagarkurnool district on 13.10.2022 to create awareness on management practices in Chilli crop. The problems identified in chilli crop were wilt complex, leaf spot, fruit rot and Gemini virus. The scientist team had suggested to drenching and spraying of COC 3g+ Plantamycin 0.25g per litre to control wilt and leaf spots. Spraying of Carbendazim+ Mancozeb 2g/L or Nativo 0.8g/L to control fruit rot, roughing of virus infested plants and spraying any systemic pesticide to control vectors. Spraying of polyfeed 5g and micro mix 5g per litre to induce growth after heavy rains. The scientist team constitutes Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS (Horticulture), Dr. V. Divya Rani, Scientist (Path), G. Madhuri, Scientist (Ento), K. Maheswari (HO) and Tandoor, Indrakal and Guntakodur village farmers (20nos) were participated.
