KVK, Palem- Field visit to FLD on “Precision farming in chilli on 19.12.2022

The KVK, Palem has conducted a field visit to FLD on “Precision farming in chilli“ at Sri. Fathima Reddy & Karunakar Reddy’s chilli fields, Thimmajipet (V&M) on 19.12.2022. The chilli 2043 variety was growing in 10 acres of area, which is 100 to 110 days old and first picking is going on. Zn deficiency, slight black thrips infestation was observed and recommended Znso4 @ 2.5g/L, Imidacloprid + Fipronil (Police) @ 0.25g/L for thrips. Further, suggested few post harvest measures to be taken up while drying and storing the produce to avoid the cross infestation of Anthracnose fruit rot. As a part of this FLD, Inputs (19:19:19) were distributed to the farmers. In this visit, Dr. A. Shankar, SMS (Hort.), Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP) and 5 farmers were participated.
