KVK, Palem Organised Field day on Integrated pest & disease management in Groundnut at Nandivaddeman village of Bijinepally mandal, Nagarkunrool dist

Organised a field day on Groundnut crop on 19.12.2020 at Nandivaddeman village of Bijinepally mandal of Nagarkurnool district. As part of conducting Front line demonstration (FLD)on Integrated pest & disease management in Groundnut by KVK, Palem, Nagarkurnool dist during Rabi, 2020. The FLD on Groundnut has been taken up in 10 locations, five farmers from each village of Khanapaur and Nandivaddeman. Dr.T. Prabhakhar Reddy, PC, KVK, Palem explained the role of each input in enhancing the yield levels in groundnut crop. It is clearly told that seed treatment and soil treatment with biopesticide Trichoderma viride were helped for the drastic reduction in diseases incidence in the farmers field. FLD i/c Mr.M.Rajashekhar (Plant Protection) provided the critical inputs under FLD on Integrated pest & disease management in Groundnut to the farmers per 1 acre were- Carboxin + Thioram @100g, 2kgs biopesticide Trichoderma viride for seed & soil treatment, Pheromone traps @ 6/acre to monitor the incidence of Tobacco caterpillar, Azadiractin 1500ppm @ 1lt/acre to deter the egg laying of leaf minor & Tobacco caterpillar, need based spraying with Emmamectin benzoate @ 100g/acre and Tebuconazole 250 ml to reduce the incidence of tikka leaf spot at 10 locations. Crop cutting experiment was taken up to assess the yield level, field day was conducted in one of the FLD farmer field of Sri. Swamy. In this programme Mr. Manichander (AEO) representatives from the State Dept. of Agriculture and 26 farmers from Nandivademan village were participated.
