KVK, Palem organized Live Web Casting of Hon’ble Prime Minister address and Farmer Scientist Interface at Training Hall, KVK, Palem on 18.06.2024. Honourable Prime Minister Sri. Narendra Modi released 17th instalment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan scheme) from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Release of Rs.20,000/- crores to 9.26 lakh beneficiary farmers. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy briefed about the objective of the programme and elaborated about PM-KISAN scheme. He said that under PM-KISAN scheme Rs.6000/- is given to farmers in three instalments of Rs.2000/- each so that they can purchase quality seeds, fertilizers and other agro-inputs to increase their crop production. Farmer - Scientists interactive session was arranged to address the farmers’ quarries on different aspects of quality seed selection, characteristics and sowing of the seeds. Participants keenly listened to PM Modi and thanked him for the financial support. In this live web casting Dr.B.Rajashekhar, SMS (Extension), Dr.Adhi Shankar, SMS (Horticulture), Mr.E.Jyoshna, SMS (Home Science), Dr.O.Shaila, SMS (Plant Protection), Dr.K.Ramakrishna, SMS (Agronomy). In this programme KVK, Palem staff, agricultural extension officers, input Dealers, best progressive farmers, and farmers of total 112 members were participated.
