KVK Palem organized a field day in groundnut under cluster front line demonstration for Rabi Oilseeds sponsored by National Food Security Mission for the year 2020-21 at Nandivaddeman village of Bijinepally Mandal, Nagarkurnool district on 06.02.2021. Dr. Ch. Damodhar Raju, ADR, RARS Palem inspected the groundnut CFLD fields and interacted with the farmers about varietal performance of K9 in groundnut and integrated crop management practices influencing the yield of groundnut. Dr. Sujatha, Principal Scientist (Oilseeds), RARS, Palem discussed about cultivation of oilseed crops suitable for Nagarkurnool District. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy has stressed about soil amelioration and nutrient management practices in groundnut. Mr.K. Ramakrishna, SMS (Crop Production) and Dr. Sredhar, Scientist (Agro.), RARS, Palem discussed about best agronomic practices for higher yields of groundnut. M. Rajashekar, SMS (Plant Protection) explained about integrated pest management practices for the effective control of pest and diseases. Miss.L.Shravika, SMS (Agro.), Smt. Neeti, MAO Bijinepally and Mr. Manichander, AEO Nandivaddeman village and 45 farmers were participated in the programme.
