KVK, Palem organized RAWE Programme exposure visit to Madharam village (Innovative farmers fields) on 12.10.2023

KVK, Palem has organized RAWE Programme exposure visit to Madharam village of Urkonda mandal of Nagarkurnool dist on 12.10.2023 to Kharif batch students. Dr. B. Rajashekar, Subject Matter Specialist (Agril. Extension) briefed about the importance of RAWE programme, Student ready programme and good opportunity to learn new skills in farming and it helps students become entrepreneurs. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP) addressed about Integrated Pest and Disease Management practices in major crops. Mr. Mallela Krishna Reddy addressed importance of dry land orchards, sub surface drip system in orange orchard, rain gun with low cost technology in groundnut, chilli IPM practices, Seed production in paddy and other innovative technologies in agriculture and allied sectors and explained various crops cost of cultivation and suggested timely field operations leads to higher yields and double the income of the farmers. Mr. Pratap Reddy briefed about importance of integrated farming system (IFS) in dry land farming system and reuse of different components products and by products. In this programme best farmers and 57 students from College of Agriculture- Rajendranagar and Agriculture College Palem have participated.
