KVK, Palem - Rythu Dinotsavam & Agricultural Exhibition at Amistapur(V), Bhootpur (M), Mahaboobnagar (D) from 28.11.2024 to 30.11.2024.

A Rythu Dinotsavam & Agricultural Exhibition has been scheduled from 28.11.2024 to 30.11.2024 organized by Department of agriculture in collaboration with PJTSAU, SKLHU, PVNRTVU and other allied sectors of Mahaboobnagar, Nagrkurnool, Gadwal & Wanaparthy. The first day of the programme started with inauguration of the stalls, address by the officials followed by a tour to different stalls in the exhibition. As a part of this programme, KVK, Palem has exhibited a stall where all the technologies, products, live demos, live specimens, varieties and Knowledge material on various themes (ICM, INM, IPDM), technologies were showcased. Sri. Thummala Nageswara Rao, Hon’ble Agriculture minister, Telangana, Sri. Damodara Raja Narsimha, Hon’ble health minister and other officials have inaugurated the stall. All the displays, technologies and demos have been thoroughly explained to the visitors. Further, Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme coordinator delivered a lecture on Soil health management for Sustainable agriculture. Highlighted the Crop residue management and best management practices in various crops. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP) emphasised on the IPDM strategies in major rabi crops. Dr. B. Rajashekar, SMS (Agril Extn) highlighted the Integrated farming system for sustainable agriculture. Mrs. E. Jyoshna explained and displayed various value-added products and importance of value addition in nutritional security. In this programme Sri. Thummala Nageswara Rao, Hon’ble Agriculture minister, Sri. Damodara Raja Narsimha, Hon’ble health minister, Telangana, District Collector, all the university officials, PJTAU, Scientific staff of STZ, other officials from Dept. of Agriculture, Horticulture,Veternery and other allied sector and 1450 farmers, farm women, Rural youth & other entrepreneurs.
