Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Palem has organized training programme on crop diversification for ensuing yasangi season on 08.11.2024. The programme was chaired by Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, PC, KVK, Palem presented importance of irrigated dry crops and also stressed more alternate crops to Paddy like Greengram, Blackgram, Maize, Castor & Groundnut. Dr. B. Rajashekar (SMS-Extension) on different sources of agriculture information & its utility and spoken about the market driven crops to get higher net returns to the farmers. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP), KVK, Palem presented pest & disease management in field crops, insisted the farmers to follow the IPM practices which are ecologically & economically sustainable. Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS, (Horti) KVK, Palem presented importance of vegetable cultivation and reduction technologies in vegetables crops. Mr. K. Ramakrishna (SMS-CP) KVK, Palem briefed about the mechanization and integrated crop management technologies in oil seed and other crops. In this programme Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, PC, KVK, Palem, Dr. B. Rajashekar (SMS-Extension), Dr. O. Shaila, SMS(PP), KVK, Palem, Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS, (Horti)KVK, Palem, Mr. K. Ramakrishna (SMS-CP) KVK, Palem and 76 farmers were participated.
