KVK, Palem organized a Training programme on “Drudgery Reducing Farm Implements” at Iythole Village, Govindapalli mandal, Nagarkurnool dist on 13.09.2023. Mrs.E.Jyoshna, SMS(H.Sc), KVK, Palem conducted Training Program on Drudgery Reducing Farm tools and implements to the women farm workers. Explained about the Drudgery prone activities by the farm women while participating in several agricultural operations such as seeding, transplanting, weeding, fertilizer application, harvesting, winnowing and processing etc. Demonstrated certain women friendly tools like long handle weeder, Sapling transplanter, head load manager, cotton harvesting bag, Multipurpose Basket (to carry seedlings and to harvest flowers), Ring Cutters for bhendi harvesting. Emphasized about the need and importance of women empowerment towards the women friendly farm tools in order to achieve high efficiency with increased work output, reduced Drudgery levels and health problems. In this Training Mrs.E.Jyoshna, SMS(H.Sc), KVK, Palem, Mrs. P. Indhumathi, Sarpanch,Ward members and women Farmers 55 and 5 RAWEP students were participated.
