KVK, Palem has organized training programme on functional and management aspects of Farmer Producer Organization (FPOs) for Directors & Farmers at KVK, Palem on 26.10.2024. In this programme Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem addressed on overview of FPOs in India, functional and management aspects of FPOs/FPCs or Farmers clubs from top level to lower level for effective implementation of activities and also briefed about export-import policies for FPOs/FPCs products. Dr. B. Rajashekar, SMS (Agril. Extension) briefed about entrepreneurial opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors for FPOs and its importance in timely execution of activities and stressed different income generation activities like vermicomposting, nursery management, seed processing, protected cultivation and value addition in millets etc. In this programme all the scientific staff of KVK, Palem, a total of 56 FPOs board of directors and farmers were participated.
