KVK, Palem organized a Training programme on Horticultural crop in collaboration with coromandel international Ltd. at Raithu vedika, Veepanagandla (V), Wanaparthy dist. on 27.02.2024. Training given on Integrated practices in Mango, Guava like, selection of site, planting, After care, training and pruning, irrigation, integrated nutrient, pest and disease management, special practices like training and pruning, bio fertilizer application, inter-cropping systems and post-harvest techniques to the farmers. Awareness created on summer vegetable crops cultivation, intercropping in oil palm and management practices and IPM practices in Oil palm. Sri Krishna, Horticulture officer, wanaparthy, Explanied about Oil palm schemes and subsidy in drip irrigation system. Rajitha, AEO, veepanagandla created awareness about stem borer management in Paddy cultivation to the farmers. In this programme Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS (Horticulture), KVK, Palem, Krishna, Ho, Rajitha, AEO, Deputy General Manager- M.Govinda Rao, Senior Agronomist- T Sreedhar Reddy, Marketing officers- D. Ravi and M Praveen, Agronomist- N Shiva and other public representatives a total of 87 members were participated.
