KVK, Palem organized Awareness cum Training programme on Innovations in Plant Nutrient Management for Sustainable Agriculture on 18.11.2022

KVK, Palem in colloboration with Fertilizer Association of India (FAI), Southern region, Chennai has organized Awareness cum Training programme on Innovations in Plant Nutrient Management for Sustainable Agriculture at KVK Palem on 18.11.2022. In this program Y.V.N. Murthy, Regional Head, Fertilizer Association of India, Dr. B. Pushpavathi, Associate Dean, AGC, Palem, Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem, Sri.Sudhakar Reddy, Divisional Agronomist, ICFL, Sri.M.Srinivasa Ravi, Senior Manager, SPIC fertiliers, Sri.Balaji, IFFCO and input dealers were participated. Mr.Y.V.N.Murthy addressed on importance of integrated nutrient management practices and various innovations in plant nutrient management in India and also stressed on government of India interventiins towards enhancing soil health and sustainable agriculture. Dr. B. Pushpavathi, Associate Dean, AGC, Palem briefed about nutrient use efficiency, how to reduce the over usage of fertilizers and also stressed on cost reduction technologies in rabi crops. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem explained about importance of both organic and inorganic fertilizers to improve soil health, crop residue management and various forms of fertilizers, time & method of application of fertilizer for increasing the yields of the crops. In this programme, teaching and non teaching staff, International coromandel fertilizer limited, IFFCO Fertilizer limited, Spic fertilizers officers, dealers, 25 students and 72 farmers were participated.
