KVK, Palem organized a Training on Integrated Pests and Disease Management in Paddy at Mammayipally (V), Bijinepally (M), Nagarkurnool (D) on 18.10.2024. As the paddy crop is affected by multiple pests and diseases due to heavy rains in the district keeping this in view, KVK, Palem has organized a Training on Integrated pests and disease management in Paddy. Currently in Mammaiypally village crop is at PI to grain hardening stage. The crop is infested by Panicle mite (above ETL 25-30%), Gall midge (15-20%) and BPH (10-15%). Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP) KVK, Palem emphasized on the IPDM practices in paddy, information compatibility of insecticides & fungicides, Safe handling of the Plant Protection chemicals. Further, visited the paddy fields in the village and made needful advisories. In this training Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP), KVK, Palem, Y. Pushpalatha, YP I, Mr. Fareed, AEO Gangaram and 34 farmers a Total of 37 members were participated.
