KVK, Palem organized training programme on Preparedness for Yasangi crops on 21.10.2022

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Palem organized one day training cum awareness program on Preparedness for Yasangi crops on 21.10.2022 at Rythuvedika of Rudraram village of Nawabpeta mandal. In this programme Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, PC, KVK, Palem presented importance Yasangi crops and also stressed more alternate crops to Paddy like Greengram, Blackgram, Castor, Safflower and Groundnut. Insisted to farmers follow the integrated crop management aspects to conserve the nature & natural resources to get the higher net returns with minimal production costs in yasangi crops. Mr. M. Rajashekhar (SMS-PP) cautioned farmers to follow the IPM practices like seed & soil treatment with bio-pesticides, installation of yellow, blue sticky traps and pheromone traps to monitor the pests and informed to farmers all the IPM critical inputs are available at KVK, Palem. Mr.K. Ramakrishna (SMS-CP) presented importance of cost reduction technologies in Green gram & Black gram. Dr.B. Rajashekar (SMS-AE) presented on importance of ICT tools in agriculture. In this programme Sri. Krishna kishore (MAO, Nawabpet), Tejaswini (AEO, Rudraram), Anthaiah (MPP-Nawabpet), Madhusudan Reddy (RSS-Member), Shashidar Reddy (PACS-Director), Lalithamma (Sarpanch) a total of 56 farmers & farm women’s participated.
