KVK, Palem organized World Soil Day Celebrations at Training Hall, KVK, Palem on 05.12.2023. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy (PC, KVK, Palem) Illustrated the importance of soil fertility, balanced fertilization in enhancing crop yields and sustaining soil fertility through soil test based nutrient management. Highlighted the importance of waste management, vermicompost preparation for efficient utilization of the waste. Explained about soil sampling procedure and interpretation of results. Distributed soil health cards to the SC farmers. Distributed blackgram seed to the SC farmers. In this programme Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy (PC, KVK, Palem), Dr.Adhi Shankar (SMS, Horticulture), Dr.O.Shaila, (SMS,PP), Dr.B.Rajashekhar (SMS,Extension), Mr.K.Ramakrishna (SMS, CP), Mrs.E.Jyoshna (SMS, Home Science), Dr.N.Lavanya (SMS, Agronomy), 82 farmers, 7 staff and 4 students. A total of 94 participants were participated.
