KVK, WYRA AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON PERSONAL HYGIENE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANLINESS AT MUCHERLA ON 22.11.2023

KVK, Wyra participated in an awareness programme on personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness at Mucherla (V), Karepalli (M), Khammam District on 22.11.2023 under Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. The students were sensitized on personal hygiene for good health to prevent communicable and non-communicable diseases. They were briefed on importance on regular practices like cleaning hands before eating food, washing legs before entering home, exercising daily and inculcating good habits like early to rise and early to bed with less screen time. Other habits like proper nail cutting, using dustbins, handkerchief, clean teeth help to keep bacteria, viruses and illnesses away. Additionally, the students were encouraged on environmental cleanliness by keeping the surroundings clean which indirectly helps in maintaining personal hygiene. Clean air, stable climate, adequate water, sanitation and hygiene, safe use of chemicals, protection from radiation, healthy and safe workplaces, sound agricultural practices, health-supportive cities help to preserve nature. The programme was attended by Mrs. PSM Phanisri.
