KVK, WYRA ORGANIZED CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME TO FPOs AT KHAMMAM DISTRICT ON 06.02.2024

Farmers Producers Organisation is an organisation of farmer-producers that provides support to small farmers with end-to-end services covering almost all aspects of cultivation from inputs, technical services to processing and marketing. Good governance brings high effectiveness for FPOs and is the role of their Board of Directors members who are farmers themselves, need to be capacitated so that they can govern their FPOs effectively. Being leadership of FPO, their capacity building go long way in effective functioning and sustainability of FPOs. As a part of it, capacity building programme for CEO’s and farmers was organized by KVK, Wyra at MPDO Office, Sree Shakti Bhawan, Konijerla Mandal, Khammam District on 06.02.2024. About 37 participants from Adarsha FPC attended the programme. Various aspects like shared with participants included application of GST, loan facilities available, role and responsibilities of CEOs and other rules pertaining to running FPOs. As major marketed crop is chilli, the farmers were enlightened on other aspects like pest and disease management on the chilli crop, quality parameters, processing and value addition.
