KVK, Wyra - Live webcast of release of 14th instalment of PM KISAN on 27-07-2023

KVK, Wyra organised 14th PM kisan instalment release of funds to farmers on 27.07.2023 through live telecast to the farmers. As part of this event, the farmers and farm women were created awareness about the farmer friendly technologies like dry converted wet rice, paired row in maize with drip, HDPS cotton, oil palm cultivation, IPM in paddy, trellis method of tomato cultivation, vermicomposting and natural farming. Apart from this, the participants were sensitized on importance of including millets and various pulses apart from regular dals in diet for better health and various appetizing recipes were discussed so that consumption of millets and pulses can be improved. The kitchen gardens are simple but innovative option to connect the gap between the available resources and their utilization in a justifiable manner for addressing the problems of hidden hunger and combat malnutrition among vulnerable groups. It also helps to create additional revenue-generating opportunities for farming communities in rural areas using back yards in households or farm bunds too.
