KVK - Wyra - Awareness programme on KVK mandate and activities on 04.11.2023

KVK, Wyra has conducted Awareness programme on KVK mandate and activities on 04.11.2023 to school children. The students were first explained about KVK mandate and later sensitized on water conservation technologies like dry converted wet rice, paired row in maize with drip irrigation and rain water harvesting, value addition to millets, cereals and pulses for increasing the farmers income, backyard poultry and kitchen gardens for nutrition security, natural farming, swachhata activities for personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness, DAMU weather forecasting, importance of soil testing and soil health cards, HDPS in cotton for overcoming incidence of sucking pest and pink boll worm as well as pandal system of vegetable cultivation. The meeting was attended KVK staff including Dr. Jessie Suneetha W, SMS (Home Science), Smt. PSM. Phanisri, SMS (Extension), Dr. D. Nagaraju, SMS (Agromet) and Sri. K. Vinod Kumar, PA (Lab Technician). Also, the students were shown various farm implements, kitchen garden demo unit, DAMU unit, Polyhouse, Natural farming demo unit, Shadenet and other demo units at KVK instructional farm.
