Telangana Rashtra Avatharana Dashabdi Utsavalu - Rythu dinotsavam by KVK, Wyra on 03.06.2023

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Wyra organized Telangana Rashtra Avatharana Dashabdi Utsavalu on 02.06.2023 by illuminating the building, tying of mango leaves /coconut leaves tornalu and colorful rangolis were laid. Two banners were placed having logos of the Government of Telangana, Dashabdi and University. The National flag was hosted in the morning at 9.30 AM followed by National Anthem, Telangana song (Jaya jaya e Telangana.......) and followed by University song. On 03.06.2023 Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Wyra organized Telangana Rashtra Avatharana Dashabdi Utsavalu - Rythudinosthavam by participating in programmes at various rythuvedikas of Khammam District. Dr. J. Hemantha Kumar, Programme Coordinator participated at Raghunadapalem (V & M) and delivered a lecture on the need for preponing kharif sowing of paddy, HDPS cotton and Management of chilli were discussed in detailed with farmers and farmwomen. The chief guests attending the meeting were Sri. Puvvada Ajay Kumar,Minister for Transport, Govt. of Telangana, Sri. Nama Nageshwara Rao, Member of Parliament, Khammam Sri. V.P Goutham, Collector & District Magistrate, Khammam, Other Pubic representatives and Government officials. Dr. V. Chaitanya, SMS (Horticulture) participated at Gollapudi village, Wyra mandal and spoke on preponing kharif sowing of paddy, Vegetable cultivation in kharif and Post harvest management of Mango. Dr. K. Ravi Kumar, SMS (Entomology) participated at Khanapuram village, Wyra mandal and discussed on the need for shifting to HDPS cotton, Direct seeded rice and Management of chilli. The chief guests were Sri. L. Ramulu Nayak, MLA, Wyra and Sri. Sk. Lal Mahamood, ZP Co-op Member, Wyra. Dr. D. Nagaraju, SMS (Agromet) attended at V. Venkatayapalem Village, Raghunadapalem mandal and created awareness on Early sowing of paddy and DAMU weather updates for crop management. The meeting was attended by Sri. K. Nagabhushanam, DCCB, Chairman and Smt. Vijaya Kumari, PACS, DCO, Khammam. Smt. PSM. Phanisri, SMS (Extension) participated at Kothur village, Sathupally mandal and addressed the gathering on management practices in oil palm and early sowing of paddy. The meeting was attended by Sri. T. Madhu, MLC, Khammam and Sri. S. Venkataveraiah, MLA, Sathupally. All meetings attended by KVK, Personnel had large gathering farmers and farmwomen along with various cadres of public representatives and government officials. In connection with Rythudinosthavam, KVK, Wyra at its premises organised a meeting to farmers and farmwomen. The paritcipates were detailed about the progress made by the state in the last decade followed by sensitizing them on need for good quality seeds for sowing, Advanced sowing of paddy, HDPS cotton, Vegetable cultivation during kharif and the need to include climate resilient millets in diets for healthy life. Also, an exhibition on university flagship programmes was organized.
