Live Web Cast of “National Horticulture Fair-2021” at KVK, Kampasagar on 12-02-2021

Live Web Cast of “National Horticulture Fair-2021” organized by Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (ICAR-IIHR) Bengaluru was arranged by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kampasagar on 12.02.2021. The KVKs and farmers of ATARI, Zone-X (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu) participated in the programme. Improved Horticultural Technologies developed by ICAR-IIHR Bengaluru, varieties and hybrids of Tomato, Chilli, Bottle gourd, Jack fruit and other Horticulture crops released by IIHR with live Demonstration unitswere showcased to the farmers through virtual session. The Scientists of ICAR-IIHR created awareness on Pest and Disease Management of various Horticultural crops with Specific Packages, also addressed area and crop specific problems posed by the Farmers. Postharvest and processing technologies were also demonstrated. The Progaramme coordinator, KVK Kampasagar addressed the farmers and suggested to follow the Improved Horticultural Technologies for Doubling Farmers Income. T.Himabindu SMS (Horticulture) briefed about various Technologies, high yielding and Multiple disease resistant varieties and Hybrids of IIHR suitable to Nalgonda District. KVK Scientists, Dr. T. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production),S. Pallavi, SMS (Extension) and A. Sai Kiran and farmers (80 No.) from different villages participated in the Programme.
