Dr B.R.Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvaana diwas at ARS and DAATTC, Tornala and distribution of minikits to farmers on 06-12-2021

Dr.B.R.Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Diwas at ARS and DAATTC, Tornala on 6th December, 2021. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR Dr. Sathish Chandra, B. Anil Kumar from RARS, Warangal, Dr. A.V. Ramanjaneyulu, Sr. Scientist & Head, Dr. N. Sainath, Scientist, Dr. D. Swetha, Scientist from ARS, Tornala and Sri. J. Vijay, Coordinator, Smt. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist from DAATTC, Tornala, Dr. S. Sridevi, Principal, APT, Tornala other faculty members, Non-Teaching, Outsourcing staff and participated in the programme. Later, two fine grain paddy minikits (WGL-1246 and RDR-1162), were distributed to 10 farmers from four villages viz., Tornala, Chittapur, Irkode and Bussapur of Siddipet district, on the hands of Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, RARS, Warangal and Mr. Y. Devaiah, Sarpanch, Tornala. At the outset, Sri. J. Vijay, Coordinator, DAATTC, Tornala has explained about the importance of minikits, regular visits of scientists to the demonstration sites and feedback required from the beneficiary farmers which helps the scientists to fine tune the same before releasing the varieties. Further, he also requested the farmers to visit and discuss the problems in Agriculture with the scientists.
