Events of Mahila Kisan Diwas was jointly organized by Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Nalgonda and KVK, Kampasagar on 20-10-2020

Mahila Kisan Diwas events were jointly organized and conducted at Nalgonda on 20.10.2020. On the occasion Dr.M.A. Aariff Khan, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Kampasagar as Guest of Honour and addressed the women farmers about the role of women in farm operations in Agriculture and Allied sectors and reduction of drudgery in field activities. Sri.G. Sridhar Reddy, District Agriculture Officer, Nalgonda and Smt. E. Sudarshini, Project Director, ATMA, Nalgonda motivated women farmers to adopt Integrated Farming System for sustainable income generation and focussed on various Govt Schemes benefiting to women farmers. Later, T.Himabindu, SMS (Horticulture) emphasized on importance of Entrepreneurship development by establishing Commercial Nurseries, Nutri Kitchen garden by women farmers and marketing aspects. J. Jashwanthi, SRF (Fisheries) created awareness on Fish farming and Entrepreneurship Development by fish Value Addition. Finally felicitated 3 Progressive Women Farmers of the District by Memento and appreciations whos contributions in different sections like profitable mixed vegetable farming, rice cultivation in 15 acres leased land, adopting good horticulture practices were recognized.
