Mentoring workshop on “Cracking ICAR JRF” was organized by the Placement Cell, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar on 19.5.2023at 10.00 AM in the Virtual classroom, The workshop was led by Dr.K.Bhanu Rekha, Placement In charge, and Dr.P.Rajinikanth, Additional Placement In charge. The event stared with welcome by Dr.K.Bhanu Rekha, Placement Incharge, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar. It was followed by a welcome address by Dr.C.Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar. About 90 students across all the AELP units attended to the programme. The workshop consisted of the presentations by the 2021 Junior Research Fellows from the department of Agronomy (J.Shreedevi and Mr.Santanu .Kundu), Plant Sciences (Mr.Kushal and Krishnamruta), Soil Science (Sai Sravani and Srikala), Entomology (Mr. Kishore and Suresh) and Social Sciences (Anusha and Mr.Ajay). The presentations by 2021 JRFs emphasized on importance of JRF, syllabus, reference books, preparation schedule, tips to succeed, do’s and don’ts before examination day and in the examination hall apart from different Agricultural colleges/campuses allover India. They also briefed about their PG research, future plans and shared their experience at PJTSAU campus. The presentations were followed by fruitful interaction by the students regarding their doubts in subject wise JRF preparation. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr.K.Bhanu Rekha, Placement in charge, CA R’Nagar.
