Method demonstration cum distribution of PSB and its application was conducted by DAATTC, ARS, Tornala at Ankshapur (V), Nangunoor (M), Siddipet district on 19.07.2023. Dr. N. Sainath, Scientist, ARS, Tornala briefed about the importance of Phosphate-solubilizing bacteria which plays a vital role in P solubilization by producing organic acids and its mechanism. PSB can be used for all crops including paddy, millets, oilseeds, pulses and vegetables. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist explained about application of PSB to soil by mixing 2 kg inoculant with 50-100 kg finely powdered FYM and broad cast this mixture at the time of last ploughing thereby reduction of reduction of Phosphorus fertilizer usage in Rice by 25-50%. In this programme, Sreelatha, AEO, Ankshapur and 20 farmers were participated.
