Organizing and conducting “National Consumer Day” by KVK, Kampasagar on 24-12-2020

As per the instructions of ATARI, Zone-X, Hyderabad, “National Consumer Day” was organized and conducted by KVK, Kampasagar on 24.12.2020. On this occasion Dr. M. Shankariah, Programme Coordinator & Head addressed the gathering and briefed the importance consumer safety, knowledge on quality of food products and their rights and responsibilities. After that, Dr. M. Shankar, SMS (Crop Protection) explained some methods to check product quality and suggested to choose only good brand and quality food products over low cost and less quality items. Later, Dr. T. Bharath, SMS (Crop Production) explained some important consumer rights to participants and highlighted consumer role in maintaining quality of the products by proving proper feedback. Scientists of KVK, J. Jeshwanthi, SRF (Fisheries) and A. Sai Kiran, SMS (Agrometeorology) participated in this programme. A total of 25 no. farmers were participated in the programme.
