New College Building Inauguration at Agricultural College, Polasa, Jagtial on 14-12-2019

Inauguration of New College Building was done by Sri Singireddy Niranjan Reddy Garu, Minister for Agriculture, Co-operation and Marketing and Sri Koppula Eshwar Garu, Minister for Scheduled Casts Development, Minority Welfare, Disabled Welfare and Senior Citizen Welfare on 14.12.2019 at Agricultural College, Polasa, Jagtial. The total cost of the building is 15.75 crores with admin block (2323 Sq.mt), Academic block (4320 Sq.mt) and Library block (1132 sq.mt). Hon’ble Ministers inspected the virtual class room, mini auditorium, class rooms and laboratories in newly constructed building and planted trees in college premises as a part of Haritha Haram. Sri Singireddy Niranjan Reddy garu in his address said that agriculture is the only means that can keep the globe with full of greenery and assured that Telangana Government will take measures for the development of processing industry and value addition to increase the net income of the farmers. Sri Koppula Eshwar Garu said that scientists and students should develop low cost technologies in Agriculture and conduct research on alternate crops to paddy to conserve resources like water. This programme is presided over by local MLA Dr. M. Sanjay Kumar, Jagtial. He urged the agricultural minister to help the farmers of Jagtial Dist. By providing marketing and processing facilities. Dr. V. Praveen Rao garu, Vice Chancellor, PJTSAU in his address said that university has developed three paddy varieties within three years after formation of new university and by cultivating this varieties in Telangana, saved approximately 10.9 TMC of water was compared to other promising varieties. He also said that university has obtained third position among the Agricultural universities in India. Other dignitaries attended the inaugural function are Smt. Dava Vasantha Garu, ZP Chairperson, Jagtial, Sri Naradasu Laxman Rao Garu, MLC, Sri G.Rajesham Goud Garu, Chairman, State Finance Commission, Sri Loka Bapu Reddy Garu, Chairman, MARKFED, Sri K Vidyasagar Rao Garu, MLA, Korutla and Sri Sunke Ravi Shankar Garu, MLA, Choppadandi, Sri G. Gangaram Goud garu, MPP, Jagtial (rural), Sri P.Rajendraprasad Garu, MPTC & Vice MPP, Polasa, Smt. G.Bharathi Garu, Sarpanch, Polasa. Dr. S. Sudheer Kumar Garu, Registrar, PJTSAU, Dr J. Satyanarayana Garu, Dean of Agriculture, PJTSAU and Mr. Emanuel, Estate officer are present from the university. Dr. K.B. Suneetha Devi Garu, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Jagtial, teaching and non-teaching staff of Agricultural College, Jagtial, ADR, Dr. R. Uma Reddy, RARS, Jagtial, Staff and APT staff , students, farmers and Press & media were participated in the programme.
