National Service Scheme Day at Agricultural College Aswaraopet on 24-09-2020

National Service Scheme Day conducted at Agricultural College, Aswaraopet on 24-09-2020. Associate Dean - Incharge Dr.V.Venkanna has discussed about the NSS formation and also stated that NSS Day was officially initiated on 24-09-1969 on occasion birth centenary year of father of nation Sri. Mahathma Gandhi, who exhilarated the Indain Youth to participate in the Indian Independent movement and social upliftment of downtrodden masses. Further he explained about role of NSS at individual. Later programme was handed over to Dr.K.G.K.Murthy, he stated that the Motto of NSS "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the students development & appreciation to other person's point of view and also show consideration towards other living beings. Further, as a apart of Clean and Green, surrounding of college building as well as both sides of the entrance has been cleaned. Later the plantations of coconut saplings and making the pits around the plant in campus has been done by Associate Dean - Incharge, teaching and non-teaching staff, contractual labour, time scale and other workers. The programme was organized by NSS PO’s Dr. M. Ramprasad, Dr. R. Ramesh and Smt. D.Sravanthi.
