National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Agricultural College, Aswaraopet has organized “9th International Yoga Day” on 21st June, 2023 at Examination hall. Associate Dean Dr. V. Venkanna has chaired the session and delivered introductory remarks. In his brief speech, he mentioned that Yoga means union of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal Consciousness or Spirit. Yoga is a 5000-year-old Indian body of knowledge. He has motivated students and staff to make it as a habit of practising meditation daily to get rid of stress. Later Sri. N. Apparao, Yoga Expert and founder of Sri Ramakrishna Seva Samithi, Sathupalli has graced the occasion and demonstrated the different Yogasanas and Yoga Mudras and trained the staff and students of this College. Sri Apparao Ji also explained the importance of each yogasan. Sri. K. Koteshwar, Assistant Professor (English) enlightend the staff and students about the essence of each and every Yogasan. He has coordinated and guided the students to perform Yogasan in right postures. Teaching staff Dr.K.Naganjali, Dr.M.Ramprasad, Dr.T.Pavani, Dr.P.Reddypriya, Dr.T.SravanKumar, Dr.Deepak Reddy, Sri.Rahman, PD and non teaching staff Smt.Jayamma, Administartive officer, Superindents Sri.PavanKishore, Sri. Shantiya Naik, and other non-teaching, time scale and out sourcing employees and students of Agricultural College, Aswaraopet have participated in the International Day of Yoga and performed different Yogasanas and Mudras. NSS POs Dr.R.Ramesh, Dr.Kadasiddappa, MM and Dr.K.Shireesha have coordinated the session.
