NSS Special Camp Commences at Agricultural College, Palem on 23-04-2022

NSS special camp has been commenced at Agricultural College, Palem, Nagarkurnool district. The seven-day special camp was inaugurated on 23-04-2022 at Ramreddypalli village, Telkapally mandal, Nagarkurnool district. The programme started with welcome address by Mrs. N. Sumalatha, Assistant Professor and NSS PO followed by university song and NSS anthem. Associate Dean, Dr. B. Pushpavathi addressed the NSS volunteers and participants stating the objectives of NSS, role of youth in rendering services to the community and inculcating a sense of social responsibility thorough NSS activities. She urged NSS volunteers to be an active part of this camp and render all the social, agricultural and other services wholeheartedly. Harithaharam was organised in view of inauguration. Associate Dean along with other guests and NSS volunteers have planted 20 saplings in the premises of Anganwadi center. Later an awareness session on nutrition to women and children was delivered by ICDS District Officer, Mrs. C. Damayanthi. Further, NSS volunteers have conducted rallies raising slogans about importance of nutrition to women and children. Zilla parishad chairman, Padmavathi Bangaraiah, District library chairman, M. Hanumantha Rao, MPP, Madhu, Village Sarpanch, Lavanya Manohar Reddy, Market directorate, Yadava Reddy, PACS directorate, Rajamahendar Reddy, Panchayat Secretary, Parasuram, progressive farmers, Srinivas reddy and Bhagavan Reddy have attended the inauguration. Dr. Neema, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Extension) and NSS PO, Dr. K. Charan Teja, Assistant Professor (Agronomy) and Dr. E. Sathyanarayana, Assistant Professor (Soil science & Agricultural Chemistry) have been instrumental for the inaugural session.
