College of Agriculture, NSS Unit Rajendranagar had celebrated “International Day of Yoga” celebrations on 21.06.2023

College of Agriculture, NSS unit, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad is organizing different activities to celebrate the anicient Indian tradition and culture by celebratinf the lnternational Yoga Day, 2023 as per the instruction of Goverenment and University. United Nations has declared 21st June as ‘International Day of Yoga’ (IDY). It has been a worldwide celebration for the last 8 years and has effectively facilitated the global dissemination of the significance of practising Yoga for overall health and well-being and enduring sustainable lifestyle. The theme for this year is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. The domestic tagline for IDY 2023 is ‘Har Aangan Yog’ being propagated to bring Yoga to every household at the grassroots level.

Common Yoga protocol practice involving NSS volunteers in a large scale
College of Agriculture, NSS Unit had celebrated “International Day of Yoga” celebrations on 21.06.2023 as per the university order. Celebration Day: The yoga day celebration started at 6.00AM. On this day, NSS unit invited Sri. Madhuhaas garu, IT Professional, Art of Living and Dr. Sai Krishna Ayurveda Doctor, Art of Living. All the students, Staff (Teaching, Non-teaching and Outsourcing) have participated in the occasion on 21-06-2023. NSS programme officer welcomed the gathering. The Associate Dean started the celebrations by delivering a speech on yoga. Dr. Sai Krishna Ayurveda Doctor delivered a lecture on “Importance of Yoga in our daily life”. The trainer along with their trainees explained and directed the Students, teaching and non-teaching staff in performing different yoga postures and pranayamas. The programme started with warm up exercises, standing yoga postures, Suryanamaskaras, sitting yoga postures and pranayamas. The programme was also graced by esteemed Registrar Dr. M.Venkata Ramana. Dr. Seema, Dean of Agriculture, Dr. J. Satyanarayana, Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, NSS P.O’s, P.D. All students, teaching and nonteaching staff enjoyed yoga day with healthy snacks.
