One day workshop on “AG MAP-AGRI tech market access programme” at RARS, Polasa, Jagtial on 22.09.2023

The programme was started with a formal welcome by Dr. D.A. Rajini Devi, Scientist (Ag. Economics)& in-charge of Aghub, Jagtial by inviting the dignitaries on tothe dias and she briefed about the importance of workshop. Dr. G. Sreenivas, ADR, RARS, Jagtial and Chief Guest of the programme addressed the farmers about “Technology driven agriculture opportunities for farmers and impact of climate change on agriculture”. Mr. Vijay Nadiminti, CEO, Aghub explained about the “Activities of rural innovation spokes and also about agritech startups for small scale farmers, FPOs and SHGs”. Agritech startup representatives (Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Founder & CEO, Chauwk; Mr. Sushanth, Cofounder & CEO, Farmsathi; Narsimha Reddy, Mr. Karthik Rao, Corecarbon X team and Mr. Naveen, Area manager, Kisan link) told in detail about the start-up activities like robot weeders, drones, chauwk app, AWD technology etc. and motivated the farmers to utilize the opportunities available for farmers. C. Sudheer, Addl. DRDO, Jagtial urged the farmers to utilize the technologies developed by PJTSAU and opportunities from Aghub for better socio-economic conditions. Later, interaction meeting was conducted and farmers expressed the need of robot weeders in field crops, technology for overcoming monkeys problem and awareness programmes at village levels etc. Later the programme ended with formal vote of thanks. In this programme, S. Venkateswar, DPM, SERP, Sri. Gangareddy, Sarpanch, Allipoor, T. Ranjith, Rural coordinator, Jagtial, Mr. Deepak and Sindhu, Project Associate, Aghub, scientists of RARS, APT students and farmers (121 No.) and FPOs (7), SHGs (2) were also participated.
