One day workshop on “Breeding program Modernization” at Institute of Rice Research, ARI, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on 11.11.2022

One day workshop on “Breeding program modernization” was organized at Institute of Rice Research, ARI, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on 11.11.2022 to Rice breeders of PJTSAU. A one day workshop is sponsored by SERB Project, Government of India at Institute of Rice Research, ARI, Rajendranagar. The rice breeders from RARS, Jagtial, Warangal, ARS, Kampasagar and ARS, Kunaram were participated. During the workshop Dr. R. Jagadeeshwar, Director of Research, PJTSAU, Dr. Sanjay K. Katiyar, Breeding Program Modernization Lead, CGIAR – IRRI, Dr. Ch. Durga Rani, Director & University Head (Genetics & Plant Breeding), PJTSAU and Dr. P. Raghu Rami Reddy, Principal Scientist (Rice) & Head, Institute of Rice Research, ARI, Rajendranagar were participated, Dr. Sanjay K. Katiyar has presented lecture on “Breeding Program Modernization Modules” in the workshop. The workshop aims at implementing the modules of speed breeding and smart breeding tools along with adopting recent advanced technologies in product development.
